**ADOPTED**

Is it cold in here or is it just me? I’m not used to having my hair this short. I prefer the Scandinavian clip myself. It’s the air conditioning you see. We indoor dogs have to dress for the indoor weather. Speaking of which, is your house nicely furnished? Do you need a cute accessory to complete the look? Look no further than me.

Adult Volunteer Orientation
Photos of Friends of Arizona’s Shelter Animals
Hello FASA peeps. Here is a photo of a dedicated volutneer, Tessa, "blanketing" dogs last night. Please do not assume that dogs aren't getting blankets just because the photo doesn't show a blanket – it might have been taken just after cleaning (the dogs don't get blankets all day long because they will pee and poop on them and so it is a waste of time and will empty our blanket bins very fast – we cannot change blankets 2 and 3 times a day, especially since we don't have volunteers committed to doing laundry on a regular basis – maybe YOU can help do laundry??). HOWEVER, even though you see Tessa working hard here -> OMG, we NEED HELP blanketing! I helped Tessa last night and she has a great system that makes it go really fast (and let me tell you what, it was one of the most fullfilling volunteer activities I've ever done – the dogs were so happy to get a blanket and it was so flippen' cute – they would roll and squirm around on the blanket – and almost made me want to cry from a sense of sastisfaction -and I was not sad!!), but she cannot do it every night. If you are griping on this page about dogs not having blankets, and it is bothering you, might I suggest you get yourself over to the shelter and actually help? Be a volunteer instead of a griper. Maricopa County has almost 4 million people, yet I see the same 15-20 volunteers week after week after week after week. Where are you? …read more
