These are just some of the shelter animals that the CARE Medical Fund has helped in 2013. As some of you may not be aware, Apache Junction Animal Control does not have a vet on staff. That is why it was so important to establish a medical fund to help dogs and cats that needed nothing more than some basic medical care in order to be adopted. Something as simple as topical ointments for ringworm or antibiotics for eye infections and kennel cough. Lab tests to diagnose Valley Fever or Tick Fever, Heartworm or Mange and provide the medicines needed to bring them back to health. We’ve been able to fund minor surgeries and fund costs for radiographs (xrays) and were able to provide all this information to potential adopters who then are more likely to adopt a dog or cat with special needs. All this, because you cared enough to donate to our cause. And, we’re not done yet! We expect more dogs and cats to flow through the shelter that need our help, so we hope you’ll continue to support us by donating to CARE. We are a 501(c)(3) charity and all donations are tax deductible. Thank you for a very successful 2013 and we hope to continue that success into 2014.

Medical Fund Animals
