BEYOND URGENT!!! Oklahoma City, OK; Terrified, Senior Cattle Dog, Appears Vision Diminished or Possibly Blind **POSSIBLE CODE RED** NOT SURE HOW MUCH TIME WILL BE GIVEN BY THE SHELTER!!! PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!

Please help this sweet senior find a new forever home or rescue before it is too late!!! Please do not let them die afraid and alone in a shelter!!! Our seniors deserve so much better than that!!!

It appears from the photo this terrified senior is vision diminished or possible blind, although not confirmed with the shelter!!! If that is true, please do not let that stop you for one second from adopting or rescuing this sweetheart! Anyone who has ever known a vision diminished, even a blind dog, will tell you that once acclimated, you forget they have any eye issues at all and they are the same characters, the same loving dogs, if not more so, as the fully sighted! This sweet pup will be no different!!!

Senior dogs rebound amazingly well when fed a good diet, exercised and treated with TLC! Please do not let this sweet dog die without being given that chance!!! If you find you are not in a position to take them yourself please quickly share with all your contacts and post everywhere you think it will help!!! Thank you!

SUPER URGENT!!! Alabama; “Deke” Beautiful Shepherd X w/Vision Issues **PULLED FROM A HOARDER, LIVING IN TOTAL DARKNESS & TWO FEET OF FECES** LOSING HIS FOSTER HOME AND NEEDS HELP NOW!!! PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!

Contact: Lisalmy@aol.com

If ever a dog deserves a special Angel, Deke is it!!! Please help him find a new foster, forever home or rescue now!!! Transportation can be arranged anywhere!!! Anyone who has ever known a vision diminished or even a blind dog will tell you once acclimated, which usually takes just a few days, you forget they have any vision issues at all and they are the same characters, the same loving dogs as all the rest!!! This sweet pup will be no different and Deke’s vision has already improved a little just being in a normal home and out of total darkness!

Photos from Lisa Young’s post in Blind/Deaf Shelter Dogs
This is Deke and he needs a rescue or adopter. He was pulled from a hoarder in Fayette, AL with 24 other dogs. They were found living in pitch darkness in 2 feet of feces and remains. Deke has had to have half of his tail removed because it was rotted away. Deke also seems to have depth perception/vision problems. He tend to try to stumble and walk through things in his path. Although his vision has not been officially diagnosed, the vet tends to think it has something to do with living in the dark. When these dogs were found most of them has their eyes closed up. Deke has been completely vetted and neutered. He is HW neg too. Initially, he did have guarding problems with his water bowl which was understandable knowing his background. But his foster has been working with …read more

By Urgent Part 2 – Urgent Death Row Dogs

Tony is a gorgeous, young Lab mix, barely over 40 pounds and with a great behavior evaluation. He truly is a gem!
A volunteer writes: I love handsome, quiet boys, and handsome, quiet Tony is perfect. He’s compact in a lush tan and white coat, sweet, tail wagging and quietly playful. Likely housetrained he took care business as soon as we were out the door, and pulled on the leash in his happiness to be out for a walk. In the backyard Tony loved playing with a ball, chasing, pouncing but not retrieving. Instead, I learned to retrieve so I could throw it again. How smart is Tony making me do the work?! As other dogs stop by our pen, Tony runs to the gate, tail wagging, happy to make new four legged friends. He has the perfect amount of sweet energy, playful, friendly to all, and all packaged in his handsome coat, perfect weight and trimmed nails. Tony is auditioning for his next starring role as a family dog, hoping to win the Tony Award this year for best all around companion. Help him on the road to success, as he is preparing his acceptance speech at this moment.
