BEYOND URGENT!!! East Berne, NY; “Emma” Fragile, Blind PBT X **PLEASE HELP** TIME CRITICAL!!!

Contact Information: Denise at 518-429-9171

Please help Emma find a new forever home ASAP!!! She is in a wonderful home now, but cannot stay there, has to be kept in a crate most of the time and would not stand a chance in a shelter! The great family that just adopted Emma and her bonded brother at the time Henry are heartbroken!!! They have tried everything to integrate Emma into their home, including hiring a private trainer, to no avail. Right before Emma and Henry were transported to their new home in New York from Florida, Emma was attacked twice by a dog in that home and now is unable to handle a home with other pets, including even Henry.

She is very loving to everyone no matter how stressed she becomes. Her current owners are truly heartbroken, but there is nothing else they can do. They were even willing to keep she and Henry separate from their other 4 dogs for the rest of their lives until Emma became aggressive with Henry too.

Emma needs a calm, stable home, to be the only pet, to be with her humans, some toys to play with and a treat every once in a while. She loves to go for a walk with you. Although Emma is blind, she, just like every blind dog, learns the “lay of the land” very easily and after just a few days you forget they have any vision issues at all. …read more

BEYOND URGENT!!! Rogersville, TN; “Duke” Beautiful, Senior Hound X/Vision Impaired due to Dry Eye **PLEASE HELP** WE ARE NOT SURE HOW MUCH MORE TIME WILL BE GIVEN BY THE SHELTER!!!

Please help this sweet senior find a new forever home or rescue before it is too late!!! Please do not let him die afraid and alone in a shelter!!! Our seniors deserve so much better than that!!!

Anyone who has ever known a dog with diminished vision, even a blind dog, will tell you that once acclimated, you forget they have any eye issues at all and they are the same characters, the same loving dogs, if not more so, as the fully sighted! This sweet pup will be no different!!! Dry Eye is very easy to treat and not very expensive.

Senior dogs rebound amazingly well when fed a good diet, exercised and treated with TLC! Please do not let this sweet dog die without being given that chance!!! If you find you are not in a position to take him yourself please quickly share with all your contacts and post everywhere you think it will help!!!

We received the following:

Handsome senior boy Duke is in dire need of rescue from Hawkins Humane in Rogersville, TN…..this is a kill shelter folks!

Attached are pictures of Duke the Hound. We are desperately looking for a rescue for Duke. Duke is approx 8-9 years old so he is a senior hound. Duke is visually impaired currently due to dry eyes which he is on Restasis for. …read more
