Anyone who has ever known a blind dog will tell you once acclimated, which usually takes just a few days, you forget they have any vision issues at all and they are the same characters, the same loving dogs as all the rest!!! This sweet pup will be no different!!!

Please do not let her die afraid and alone in a shelter!!! Please!!! We are not sure how much more time she will be given by the shelter!!! If you are not in a position to take her yourself, please quickly share with all your contacts and post everywhere you think it might help! Thank you!

This is Adeline and she's such a WONDERFUL little girl!! She's about 9 years old and she has cataracts that have caused her to go blind. Poor Adeline was left in a box of rags near the side of the road. If you know of ANYONE who might be able to give this beautiful senior baby a loving home, please have them contact the Siloam Springs Animal Shelter at 479-524-6535!

UPDATE 2/17 – Colorado is an adorable and so personable little boy and has become a shelter favorite, which explains his being kept at the shelter for so long when no adopter or rescue has been found! Overcrowding can change that at any time tho and then we will only have 5 days notice to save Colorado!!! So please do not hesitate, do not be complacent that he will always be safe!!! Someone please step up now for Colorado before it is too late!!!

Dogs with vision in only one eye function exactly the same as the fully sighted!!! They are the same characters, the same loving dogs as all the rest!!! Colorado has already proven he is no different, in fact although this photo does nothing to show just how adorable and sweet he is, Colorado is in fact all those things, very people oriented!!! Even after being in a shelter for so long, he is still such a delightful little boy and will be a wonderful companion!!!

She has been waiting so long and a shelter, no matter how great, is not the same as being in your own home, waking up every morning to loving arms, sleeping every night in your own bed with your family nearby, being part of a loving family!!! Please do not let Stormie spend her remaining years in a shelter!!! Please!!!

The Shelter feels Stormie would be best as an only pet, without other dogs or cats in the home and also report, although her Pet Finder page does not say so, Stormie is blind. Please do not let that stop you for one second from adopting her!!! Godiva is current on shots, licensed and microchipped. She is an amazing dog. Despite the fact that she is totally blind from glaucoma and in a totally foreign place with people she doesn't know she is loving and friendly to all. Her little stub of a tail wags with every friendly voice she hears. If someone is talking in the hallway she cocks her head and listens. I imagine she is listening for any familiar voice. When you pet her she just cuddles up to her. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested. All pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. All our dogs are temperament tested and "should" like dogs, cats, and kids unless noted. WE HAVE MORE PETS IN THE SHELTER THAT ARE NOT ON PETFINDER. Shelter is closed today and tomorrow for President’s Day but Nala is E listed and can be PTS at any time!!! Please try, she is only 3 years old!!! Nala is super sweet and gentle!!! She is just a tiny little thing for a Lab X. She is great with other dogs!!! She came in with her 2 puppies who were adopted, but they left poor Nala behind and now she is E listed!!! Please do not let her die afraid and alone in a shelter!!! Please!!!

Although the shelter notes Nala has cloudy eyes, she has no vision issues at all. Please, if you cannot take her yourself, please quickly share with all your contacts and post everywhere!!! Thank you!
