Someone witnessed George being hit by a car late Monday night, and brought him into our Queens Receiving Center as soon as he could. George faired pretty well from the collision, only receiving a small superficial wound on his hind end, but our vet noticed some other pre-existing conditions that will require follow up care. George has a grade 3-4 heart murmur, and an inguinal mass that should be removed and biopsied. Despite the hectic few days he has had, George is a friendly and well behaved guy!

He tolerated very minimal handling, but growled and snapped at the assessor when attempting to collar him. Due to this behavior only resource and dog to dog items were completed. **
Notes: Raven’s previous owner states he is house trained and has lived with two adults and one child, but does not get along well with children.
Food: Inconclusive, dog is not eating.
Toy 1: No interest.
Rawhide: 1. No interest.
Dog-dog: 2. Dog does not approach the helper dog. He attempts to exit the room.

During the SAFER she was soft and wiggly, interested in interacting with the assessor, and displayed friendly body language toward the helper dog A0990637. She is social but a bit stressed in this environment.
