A4806581 Anika is an affable five-year-old blue-and-white female Pit Bull mix found in Carson and brought to the Carson Animal Care Center on March 8th. Anika scored a B on her temperament test! Weighing 52 pounds, Anika is ok on leash and seems good around other dogs. She has higher energy but calms down once her excess energy has been burned off. She loves toys and is just a friendly, playful goofball. She is the perfect hiking buddy for an active individual or family with older kids. Anika is a terrific pet for anyone living in a private home with a yard.

While this Good Samaritan, who ultimately saved him, is battling serious health issues! Please read his full story below!

Sight is not a dog’s primary sense so please do not let a dog being blind stop you for one second from adopting or rescuing! Anyone who has ever known a blind dog will tell you that once acclimated, which usually takes just a few days, you forget they have any eye issues at all and they are the same characters, the same happy & loving dogs, if not more so, as all the rest! It truly is amazing!!! This sweet pup will be no different!!!
